Brico
Shortened from the word bricoleur, a french term, which refers to a person who draws from a diverse range of means to create something new, Brico is a bricolage of my own experiences, drawing from my travels around the world.

About half hour ago we got back from soaking in hot pools at the Polynesian Spa (Rotorua). It was so relaxing. We were there for 2 ½ hours. I talked to two girls who were traveling together. One was from Whales and the other from Belgium. They had met at a hostel 3 weeks earlier and decided to continue on together. The girl from Whales was an Au Pere and studying to be a teacher, and the Belgium girl had studied English in Auckland for a few months and had bought a round the world ticket. Her next stop: Fiji, Then: Easter Islands, Peru, Mexico, Malibu, New York…
A nice Chinese guy started talking to us after they left to go into another hot pool (there were 7 in varying temperatures) and he was from Peking. He had 3 days in New Zealand and a week in Australia. He told us in heavily accented English that he has to travel with a tour group otherwise they will not grant them access to the countries. I’m not exactly sure why?
One thing England has benefited other countries is the Commonwealth because now it is much easier for its citizens to work in other Commonwealth countries such as from New Zealand to Canada.
Yesterday we went to the Rotorua Museum where I learned that Rotorua is a caldera, meaning it was a volcano that caved in on itself. There is still geothermal (volcanic) activity in the city. We went to a park where you can walk around and see steaming pools of sulfuric water and mud. Then to Hobbiton! It was about an hour away from Rotorua, through the beautiful farmlands. Apparently we are luck to have gone when we did because they are soon shutting the whole place down for construction due to the next movie, The Hobbit. The guide was a nice old man who explained each place as we walked through…”this is the place where Frodo and Sam cross the field and say, ‘if I take one more step this is the farthest away from home I’ve ever gone,” “this is where Gandalf and Bilbo smoke their pipes,” etc. Because the set is on a farm we also experienced, Damien sheer a lamb (I wish my camera did not run out of battery and not because I wanted to take a picture of the sheep! So use your imagination… tall, dark and handsome epitomized). I can’t remember what else I was going to write about.
