Brico
Shortened from the word bricoleur, a french term, which refers to a person who draws from a diverse range of means to create something new, Brico is a bricolage of my own experiences, drawing from my travels around the world.

Two nights ago Chloe, Courtney, Brent (the other WWOOFers from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan…sp?) and I decided to go to Auckland to check out the city. I’m glad I got that out of my system. It was average and nothing much was going on so we bar hopped, buying beer at a sports bar, a Japanese restaurant, a hookah bar, an Irish Pub and then ate dinner at a Mexican restaurant. Basically we traveled the world in a few hours. Eventually we found our way to Sky City. It looks like the Space Needle. It has a Casino, which was apparently the happening thing. When you entered they gave you a wristband and at midnight they would raffle off $10,000. I wished so bad that I had the right number on my bracelet! They called the first number but nobody came to claim the money, so after three minutes they called out another one. The guy who won it didn’t even look excited, but did look like he needed it. What would I have done with that money? Probably some white water rafting, jet boating, zorbing, wind surfing lessons, plane tickets, oh definitely a cheap car because of the sucky transport system. I would go back and visit Jane and Hilary in an instant! I’m planning on going back to the North Island when Hilary has one of his Speak Groups because being a Comm. major it would be interesting to learn how they are run. Instead of forcing people to act like someone they’re not, with excessive hand gestures and eyes above the audience, speak groups allow the individuals to each have the floor and they can talk or not. This helps take the pressure off and allows them to look around and connect with the people around them. Anyways, there is much more to it and he printed me out one of his flyers so I could read about it.
